Taking into account that 44% of all Sony car stereos purchased over the last 6 months were bought by women, the company have released the CDXA360 Car Stereo, aimed at the girl on the road. Sony says that this model has been designed with considerable input from female drivers, with a straight-forward control layout and more feminine colours (silver and pink).
However, despite the push to appeal to the female motorist, Sony hasn’t forgotten that the main reason for buying a car stereo is to play music. The unit is compatible with MP3, WMA and ATRAC files that have been burnt onto discs, and you can plug any personal audio player into it through its auxiliary port. The CDXA360 boasts four 50W channels and the Sony Drive-S chassis for powerful sound delivery. A pre-amp output allows you pump things up even more by connecting the unit up to an external amplifier and sub-woofer.
The Sony CDX-A360 will be released throughout Europe next month.
