Kenwood
Kenwood is a well-known manufacturer of car entertainment systems, navigation systems and radio equipment. The company was established in Japan in 1946 as a manufacturer of high-quality radio parts, and was originally named Kasuga Radio Co. Ltd. The company has undergone several name changes over the years, but is now known as the Kenwood Corporation.
The Kenwood Corporation has been responsible for a number of industry firsts including launching the first transistor amplifier. In the early 1990s, Kenwood developed radio systems for the Formula 1 World Championship and became an official supplier for the McLaren team.
Kenwood first branched out into the in-car audio system market in 1980, and now produces an excellent range of car stereos and speakers. You can buy products from the Kenwood in-car audio range from many online retailers.
